i love you more than anything dad

so this is what happens when you get a new toy (fancy new scanner/all-in-one, in my case) and you're too depressed to leave the house (because you just lost your dad, in my case) so lets take a trip down memory lane...

okay the pic title says dad51, so im guessing this photo was taken in 1951, thatd make him 8 or 9 yrs old

my dad always wanted girls, no boys he said, girls! i was definitely a 'daddy's girl'

the siblings, in birth order, minus one...douglas, david, diane (denise is missing, she's a half sister), sharon (step-sister) and then donald. all d's, very uhh, alliterative...

im guessing this is @ lake berryessa, my parents had a boat, they were 'cool'

my dad and cars go together like peanut butter & jelly, which btw he NEVER went to bed before eating pb&j on ritz or a sammich

this was taken around my dads 40th bday

this one on his birthday in 1969, thatd make him...26!

he was a good christian, jesus loving man (he carved this out at the beach a loooong time ago, i guess he'd always been waiting for the 'last days', i guess now he doesnt have to worry bout that anymore)

never one to say he was in pain, or want to visit a dr, nevertheless follow orders from a dr, here is he cutting off his cast from a broken ankle. gotta love it, from the guy who used duct tape like band-aids!
